Originality Insights: Visibility into your Students’ Writing Process for Targeted Intervention
TUESDAY, MARCH 4 —1:00 PM EASTERN

Monitoring the evolution of student writing is key in order for teachers to provide tailored instruction and meet every student where they are in their writing journey. The more insight a teacher has in their student’s skill development, the more equipped they are for all forms of intervention and support, especially one-on-one conversations with students. Teacher-student conversations allow teachers to gain insights into a student's thought processes, celebrate growth and strengths, address developmental needs, and offer opportunities for refining ideas. However, managing and facilitating these conferences effectively can be challenging. To increase transparency in the writing process, NoRedInk created Originality Insights.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How Originality Insights reinforces teachers’ intuition and confidence for targeted intervention by measuring time spent on assignments and detecting pasted text.
  • Strategies for leveraging Originality Insights to enhance teacher-student interactions during writing conferences.
  • Practical tips for integrating this tool into daily teaching practices to improve student engagement and writing quality.
  • How NoRedInk facilitates student reflection and accountability during the writing process to foster better decision-making, improved citations skills, and reduced reliance on plagiarism or GenAI tools.

Join Dr. Paige Whitlock, Literacy Director, and Elise Gaasenbeek, Product Manager, for a discussion on the transformative power of writing conferences with Originality Insights.
